Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Software Developer opportunity for our customer in Carlsbad, NM for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP).

Position Title: Software Developer
Work Location: Carlsbad, NM
Edgewater is currently seeking a Software Developer – COTS Integration and Maintenance to provide support our Federal Client at the Department of Energy Waste Isolation Pilot Plant located in Carlsbad, NM. Applications Development and Support (ADS) provides support for many legacy, custom, and commercial software applications within the WIPP environment. We work with our internal customers to design and develop custom applications, reports, and integrations. The team also works with internal customers and external vendors to implement Commercial Applications. Software lifecycle management, security patching, and version updates also fall within the scope of the ADS Team.
Work with Enterprise Architecture to develop, implement and maintain a COTS Life Cycle management plan
Work with Customers to schedule and perform COTS version updates with assistance from the ADS Team
Patch vulnerabilities to specific COTS Systems with assistance from Cyber Security and the ADS Team
Maintain Enterprise Architecture (EA) COTS Software inventory
Maintain COTS Documentation
Work with Customer and Business Analysist Team to implement COTS Systems and Modules
Build familiarity with existing COTS environment and perform user support
Identify Integrations between COTS systems
Development of SQL Reports and SQL Views
Development of requirements for interfaces between COTS applications
Experience with state of the practice programming languages and interface development.
Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies and ceremonies
Experience with Dev Ops and CI / CD methodologies
Must be a U.S. citizen
At least some college, and 5+ years’ experience
Experience with DevonWay Software Implementation, Modules, Configuration
Experience with Azure DevOps environment
Experience with Agile work environment a plus
Experience working with vendors to implement software at Enterprise scale
Technical Support experience a plus
Development/QA/Testing experience a plus
Experience developing solutions, workflows, custom lists with SharePoint.
Experience Administering SharePoint and supporting SharePoint upgrades a large plus
