We are looking for a 3D LASER SCANNING LEAD with the following qualifications:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to provide support to National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Capital Projects for, Construction Operations with the Savannah River Site (SRS). This support is in the form of administrative and technical expertise in the areas of 3 D Laser Scanning services. Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Subcontractor shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.
Duties
The 3 D Laser Scanning Lead’s primary function is to provide and maintain consistent and reliable project horizontal and vertical control, capture existing conditions, and field layout of commodity locations developed from the translation of project plans and documents in support of field production operations with the highest regard to safety and accuracy. The 3 D Laser Scanning Lead reports directly to the Survey Manager (SM). The 3 D Laser Scanning Lead interprets design drawings and specifications to determine associated commodities and equipment locations and provides technical direction to other survey team members in their crew. In this role, an employee will be expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency regarding the essential functions of the job found below.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for supervising a field survey crew, or as a member of a field crew when required by the SM.
• Assist the SM with the survey team’s implementation of the project safety, quality, and environmental programs.
• Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project team.
• Provide hour estimates needed to complete projects
• Provides technical assistance to the Civil Superintendent and Area Superintendent and keeps them informed on matters relating to civil, structural, and architectural work.
• Assist the SM in the administration of the Survey Work Request program.
• Performs quantity take-offs from design drawings as required and provides input into the project quantity tracking system.
• Train and assist MetrologySurvey personnel on the use of various software and hardware used by the surveying team.
• Gather field survey data through use of Robotic Total Stations, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and GPR systems.
• Set up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment, including electronic total station, data collector, GPS, and GPR equipment.
• Must be able quickly learn software and hardware.
• Review and approve survey data collected and ensure survey documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
• Download and back-up field data.
• Provide project completion data and documentation including "As-Built" records.
• Assist the SM in the administration of the Survey Work Request program.

Subcontractor must successfully complete the duties assigned in 3.1.1 above, as demonstrated during the period of performance and verified by the service provider’s manager or designee on a weekly basis.
Subcontractor shall be responsible for the management and execution of assigned programs/projects in accordance with the requirements of SRNS, and the operating policies and principles. The Subcontractor is accountable for the execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and required specifications for the project.
Experience / Skills
• AutoCAD Civil 3D and or MicroStation experience.
• Basic training and/or experience in use of GPR technology
• Basic training and/or experience in use of Robotic Total Stations
QUALIFICATIONS CRITERIA:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a science, engineering or task relevant discipline.

Experience:
Minimum 5 years supporting commercial or federal science, nuclear engineering or other task relevant programs or projects.
Typical Duties (not inclusive):
• Data collector basic analysis planning support, research, etc.
Clearance:
An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. After award, the selected uncleared candidate may be required to apply for a DOE clearance.

Estimated duration:
The period of performance shall be for a period of one year from award of this agreement with two one-year options.
