Title: Initial Test Program Test Engineer

Position Type: Contract

Location: Waynesboro, GA

Reports to: Project Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Initial Test Program Test Engineer will be responsible for testing activities to support two (2) AP 1000 nuclear reactors. The Initial Test Program Test Engineer will perform duties both in an office environment, as well as on the construction site for the reactors, and perform work similar to an extended outage situation. The Initial Test Program Test Engineer will be expected to apply their expertise to prepare, review, field implementation, and closure of Nuclear power plant initial test program component and preoperational test procedures and test packages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Skilled in testing and troubleshooting mechanical, overhead cranes, electrical, and HVAC systems and components.

Supports all Operation and Maintenance personnel in system troubleshooting and recommends a plan to address all complex plant issues.

Effectively communicate with all vendors, both on-site and off-site, to initiate and complete all outstanding corrective actions.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of instrumentation and distributed control systems
Must be able to qualify as a test engineer per NQA-1-1994
Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a Nuclear Power Plant.
Proficient at balancing multiple priorities simultaneously in an organized manner.
Detailed knowledge of plant procedures and regulations in assigned area.
Detailed knowledge of plant systems and processes.
Experienced using Microsoft Office products (particularly Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
Must be adaptive to change.

Physical Requirements:

Employee must be able to walk down the plant, including occasional use of scaffolds/harnesses and confined space entry.

Education / Experience:

5+ years of nuclear plant experience preferred.
