[Cost Analyst] Project Controls-Cost/STI 1981

Spectra Tech has an immediate need for a Project Controls-Cost in Greenville, SC.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. Acting as a key resource on a project team, the role will require collaboration at all levels, including client representatives, Fluor management and functional leads.


Strong technical experience with database tools, SQL queries and scripting

Experience with Deltek Cobra preferred

Must be proficient in MS Excel or other similar desktop tools that provide capabilities to collect and analyze information

Prepare the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract

Accumulate and compile accurate cost management data to prepare the project budget and update the progress of the project

Develop cost control procedures, execution plan, and business plan for a project

Participate in weekly project cost reviews and meetings

Participate in change management

Maintain the established project cost and prepare schedule/cost status reports

Coordinate the review of Project Profit/Risk Analysis with management and provide status reporting

Participate in the change management process

Provide meaningful, accurate historical data

Analyze data and proactively seek resolution to variances from the project baseline

Ensure project conforms with Fluor project execution practices

Participate in internal and external audits

Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines

Education and Experience:

Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in Engineering, Business or applicable field of study and five (5) years of project scheduling experience or a combination of education and directly related experience on Capital EPC Projects (DOE, DoD, Operating Nuclear, etc.) equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed.

Work Location:

Remote work requests will be evaluated. Onsite preferred.
