Spectra Tech has an immediate need for a Project Controls Risk Analyst in Idaho Falls, ID.

The primary objective of the Risk Analyst is to ensure timely and effective identification, management, and handling of project risk through implementation of the company Risk Management Program. The Risk Management Program fosters a risk-informed, decision-making philosophy utilizing a continuous risk management process. The risk management process is systematic, analytical, forward thinking, and continuous. This includes risk documentation, implementing risk-handling strategies to prevent or minimize the potential of a risk occurring or to implement risk recovery actions if the risk does occur, and risk monitoring/reporting. The Risk Analyst is responsible for facilitating risk analysis sessions and preparing most of the risk analysis products for the assigned program or project (e.g., project risk model, Monte Carlo simulation data, and IEC risk database). The Risk Analyst supports assigned program or project organizations, but is independent of the work scope being analyzed.

Must be familiar with, and comply with, all relevant health and safety requirements. Must be knowledgeable of emergency action policies and procedures, methods for reporting/resolving unsafe work practices or conditions to available cognizant professionals.

In addition, the successful candidate knows and complies with environmental, safety, health, and pollution prevention regulations, policies, and procedures for this position. Ensures own safety and safety of coworkers. Reports unsafe work conditions to immediate manager. Ensures that the five core functions of the Integrated Safety Management System are understood and applied when performing job duties. Ensures that operational excellence is achieved through appropriate implementation of conduct of operations.

Position responsibilities include the following:

In coordination with field management and teams identify and quantify project or program risks and risk impacts.
Coordinate and organize project team to identify and implement risk mitigation strategies. Integrate and communicate with managers of related projects. (40%)
Implement the Risk Management Program and maintain the risk register for various task orders and projects. Coordinate with project and program areas to maintain an up to date risk register and mitigation strategies. (40%)
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of risk impacts for assigned areas. (15%)
Support wide risk program implementation and oversight as assigned. (5%)
Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelorís degree at least 5 years relevant experience. Experience performing risk analysis for projects or technical scope on the INL site or another site in the Department of Energy complex preferred. Experience supporting Capital Asset projects under the Department of Energy or related Federal Agency highly desired. Experience with the use of Safran Risk analysis software preferred but not required.
