The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety
and reliability of our Navy ' s submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for a
Compliance Engineer to join our team to support new and existing radiological facilities and the
upgrade, repair, and maintenance of site infrastructure.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products
-Interface with a wide variety of stakeholders during scoping, engineering, and troubleshooting.
-Apply detailed engineering solutions that touch upon the mechanical, radiological, structural, and
environmental fields in order to improve upon existing operations;
-Creating work packages based on governing documents and training, researching facility operations
and industry best practices; interacting with the operations team as the work package is
implemented in the facility.
-Learn how to merge traditional engineering with radiological controls.
-Specific training will be provided to qualified individuals
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering
-Proven working experience in Radiological work
-Provide technical direction and support for the execution of radiological work.
-Work in compliance with company policies and procedures
-Experience working on federal projects
-Ability to communicate project status to various internal and external parties
- Work collaboratively with project teams
