Maintenance Specialist, Level 3

C. SCOPE
While working to achieve objectives, subcontractor will ensure all activities and operations are†performed in a safe and deliberate manner; will maintain required safety, security and operational training;†assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every†task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises†security.
D. SPECIFIC TASKS
Duties include but are not limited to:
 Transport and deliver material to support CH-TRU projects and operations.
 Maintain records and correspondence consistent with company procedures.
 Operate material handling equipment to include forklifts, reach trucks, and freight vehicles.
 Able to transport hazardous material including chemicals and compressed gasses.
 Compile, store, and retrieve organizational data using computer and company database systems.
 Interface with customers, regulators and public stakeholders on organizational matters.
 Material management to ensure accountability and inventory accuracy. Track issuances and relay data to†the Material Management Systems Coordinator and Designated Procurement Representatives.
 Assist with CH-TRU Quality Assurance receipt inspections.
 Control the receipt, storage, and issuance of waste containers per policy.
 Oversee daily tool room and tool watch operations.
 Other duties as identified by the CH-TRU Logistics Manager.

E. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
 Requires experience and aptitude for excellent customer service, a desire to work with people,†demonstrated ability to build relationships through teamwork with co-workers and customers, and†demonstrated verbal and written skills.
 Position requires experience in a business/logistics/property management field such as: inventory control, customer relations, warehousing and delivery systems, business administration, procurement, government property management, fleet management, excess and salvage management, and/or customs and export control
 Demonstrated ability to calmly manage frequent interruptions, customer needs, and changing priorities; complete assignments, manage time effectively, and be dependable/available; and facilitate positive outcomes in stressful situations.
 Ability to learn and follow complex procedures and processes; demonstrated ability to accurately enter data into database systems; demonstrated proficiency using basic computer tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Costpoint, and Outlook for business communications.
 Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs. to load property/excess into vehicles for transport/delivery between Laboratory areas, and must be able to conduct inventory activities which requires upper and lower body mobility (e.g., standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, etc.), ability to manipulate barcode readers/phone applications, and ability to see and read small barcode tag numbers.
 Understanding of statistical methods and project management tools.
 Professional level experience performing work in accordance with formal work practices.
 Demonstrated experience leading process improvement initiatives with evidence of successful outcomes.
 Successful record of managing moderately complex projects, and utilization of project management tools.
 Ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion.
 Ability to self-supervise and work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets.
 Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a part of a team, including proven ability to contribute to team efforts and accomplish team objectives.
 Demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems identified while completing work tasks.
 Must possess a valid driverís license.

This position requires 3 - 5 years of related experience.
