SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to provide support to National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Capital Projects for construction project management with the Savannah River Site (SRS). This support is in the form of construction expertise specializing in work production planning. The Senior Construction Field Engineer will provide construction engineering and work planning services in support of fabrication, installation, modification, and testing of various activities/commodities. Subcontractor will use industry leading hardware and software technologies to achieve the constructability goals of the project. Working with other functional groups such as engineering, planning, procurement, and construction to review and recommend specific planning actions. Safety is a primary responsibility for all employees working on and off SRS. Subcontractor shall obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task.

The Senior Construction Field Engineer will provide construction engineering and work planning services in support of fabrication, installation, modification, and testing of various activities/commodities performed by the SRNS NCP Construction Department.
Duties
Subcontractor duties include but is not limited to the following:
Developing work instructions and work plans for installations/modifications and testing activities
Performing walk downs and constructability reviews of proposed installation/modification design
Assign and manage personnel to develop work instructions, perform design reviews, and provide schedule guidance
Performing material take off for installations/modifications
Procurement of construction field material for installations/modifications
Performing job hazards analysis for installations/modifications
Performing post installation/modification evaluation of work instructions to ensure completed work meets applicable design, specifications, codes, and standards.
Facilitate the development of work instructions to execute the design and facilitate resolution of installation, schedule and technical issues which will require significant interface with multiple organizations including Construction Mgt., Subcontract Mgt., Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Operating Facility Systems Engineering, and Operating Facility Mgt.
Resolve issues which will often require the Subcontractor to exercise discretion and independent judgment in order to determine the appropriate path forward after the various possibilities have been considered

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Demonstrate a working knowledge of various industry installation codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, OSHA), required.
Ability to develop installation/modification work instructions and work plans per Asset Suite, required.
Ability to perform job hazard analysis for construction activities, required.
Candidate must qualify as a radiological worker and enter contaminated areas wearing the appropriate protective clothing, full and half face respirator, plastic hood / plastic suit.
Candidate must be physically fit, able to withstand an outdoor environment and perform walk downs that may include climbing.
Previous SRNS or other DOE experience is preferred.
Previous experience performing work planning at SRNS, job hazards analysis utilizing
SRNS procedures and requirements is preferred.
An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Subcontract personnel must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance
