Analytical & Measurement Specialist

***Candidate should be located in or near the Williston, ND area ***
Hours per Day: 8
Hours per Week: 40
Anticipated Start: January 2023
Length of Assignment: 1 year possibility to extend
Work Location: Williston ND 58801 There is no remote work, personnel are required to report on-site each day at 7:00am
Pay Rate: $32 - $36 / hr Non-Exempt based on experience

Education:

Minimum High School Degree or Equivalency

Specific companies/industries that would be a plus:

Candidate with experience in the natural gas industry

Preferred Years of Experience:

1-2+ years of experience

Top 3 Required Skills
1) Gas Meter Calibration / verification
2) Gas chromatography
3) Liquid meter proving / verification

Soft Skill Requirements (team fit and personality requirements):

Good Attitude
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

High Level Project Overview and Responsibilities:
To install, maintain, calibrate and repair gas quality analytical instruments. Monitor and analyze quality data for energy content and components system wide and differentiate between natural gas, swamp gas and petroleum.

Installs, repairs, tests, maintains and calibrates gas quality and volume measurement and regulating equipment.
Assist in the maintenance and calibration of regulation and measuring equipment such as pneumatic control systems and electronic measurement devices
Assist in the maintenance and accuracy of gas measurement devices used by customer
Assist in the maintenance and accuracy of gas measurement devices used by companies
Assist in the calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments
Produce calibration reports
Analyzes gas for energy content and various components.
Performs gas hydrocarbon and water dew point testing.
Performs sulfur sampling and analysis.
Analyzes gas leak samples and determines their source.
Responds to gas quality inquiries from internal and external customers.
Maintains accurate gas quality records and files.
Maintains Btu zone boundaries.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Requires working in extreme cold or hot temperatures on uneven or slippery surfaces.
Requires working with toxic chemicals and hazardous materials, including exposure to natural gas.
Will be required to work on-call, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays.
Will require some out-of-town travel and occasional overnight stays.
