Description

Plan and prepare Electrical work packages for the Maintenance organization for implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance. Work packages to be performed by Electrical and contract maintenance organizations to ensure that preventative and corrective maintenance is performed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner, in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards.

R26 outage support. Overtime may be required during outage. At the Supervisor/Managers discretion. (Possible extension after FY23 end 06/30/23)

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Plan and prepare work instructions that provide direction to electrical and contract maintenance organization implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance. Select and approve purchases or make procurement recommendations for all materials needed for work package execution.
Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities and to provide input for refining and improving work package quality. Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve work package issues.

Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required to perform planned work packages. Facilitate package preparation by preparing and/or submitting RWP’s, plant barrier impairments, fire impairments, operability impact statements, radiological support tasks, regulatory/code documentation, quality hold points and other requests.

Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable station procedures including NEC codes and standards. Approve and review all required work packages to ensure safety, high quality, technical rigor, and 10CFR50.59 screening or evaluation (if required).
Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate and enhance work package development, maintain compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendation, and maintenance direction.

Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback/craft interface time, detailed contract requisition reviews, complex troubleshooting, maintenance risk, clearance order reviews, planner peer reviews, and system interaction reviews to ensure applicable station processes and applicable changes are supported.

Education and Experience Required –

A bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university and a minimum of six years of experience in a technical area (i.e., maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning).OR

An associate degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of experience in a technical area (i.e., maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning).OR

A high school diploma or GED and technical training or education similar to that acquired through an in-grade apprenticeship program for maintenance related work and six years of experience in a technical area (i.e., maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning).
OR
A high school diploma or GED and ten years of experience in a technical area (i.e. maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning).
Educational experience from an accredited college or university will be considered year for year in exchange for work experience in a technical area.

Desired Education and Experience
Two years of experience in a nuclear environment.
Electrical Apprenticeship or Journeyman classification.
Required abilities and skills


Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Strong computer skills.
Able to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.

Able to manage time and prioritize work to improve plant and equipment reliability.
Able to meet short and long term commitments to internal and external customers.
Skilled at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers.
Possesses and demonstrates a sound understanding of maintenance practices, safety, and technical subjects.
Able to set clear and challenging goals and objectives and use metrics to follow up and measure.

Technical report writing and trending skills.

Able to improve processes and simplify and create more effective ways of conducting business.
