Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Subject Matter Expert 3 (Readiness Manager) opportunity for our customer in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

Per Diem: Available for those who qualify.
Location: Hybrid, expected to be onsite 1 week of every month, TA50
Group/Organization: INT-PROJ (55B40C)
Work Schedule: 9/80s or 5-8s
Positions Available: 1
Clearance: “Q” Clearance Required

Education
Master’s degree in engineering, Science or Business Management. PhD degree preferred at this level.

Required Experience
Twenty (20 years) of directly applicable experience in specialized technical field and is acknowledged as an expert in the specific area in question.

Desired Skills
Experience in Management Self-Assessment (MSA)
Experience in Contractor Readiness Assessments (CRA)
Experience in Federal Readiness Assessments (FRA)
Experience in Operational Readiness Reviews

Description
Readiness Manager for start-up of the Waste Characterization, Reduction and Repackaging Facility (WCRRF). The Readiness Manager will report to the Project Director and be the lead person for Management Self-Assessment (MSA), Contractor Readiness Assessment (CRA), Federal Readiness Assessment (FRA) and Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR) if required. The ideal candidate will have team leadership experience within the NNSA Laboratory system on Readiness Assessment and Operational Readiness Reviews. DOE Q-clearance, Hazard Categorization (HC-3) facility experience. Experience at LANL is preferred.

Duties
Manages and directs the daily tasks required to perform ongoing support of design, construction, startup and/or operations/ maintenance activities of complex high technology systems or projects.
Renders expert opinions on engineering and technical issues, provides recommendations to project design and construction teams in specific areas of expertise.
Provides independent reviews and assessments in areas of specialized expertise and provides guidance to project teams in delivering results on projects of complex, high-technology nature.
Interfaces with management personnel and customer representatives.
Develops and enforces work standards, assigns schedules, reviews work quality, communicates goals, objectives, and policies of the organization to subordinates.
Provides leadership for the project team, coordinates with the functional organizations, and supervises senior personnel
within the project organization.
