Summary

Our client's Fleet Corporate Design Engineering (CDE) department is the Design Authority for each of our client's six nuclear sites. CDE is responsible for the execution of a fleet portfolio that includes design solutions supporting risk reduction, equipment obsolescence, and plant modernization.
Our client's Mechanical Engineering team manages the capital engineering change (EC) portfolio at the HNP and RNP nuclear sites. The team collaborates with other CDE staff to deliver high-quality design solutions to meet site needs and milestone requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop the scope, technical basis, installation, and testing requirements for engineering design changes, including mechanical component/system design, hydraulic analysis, heat transfer/HVAC design, and piping code requirements.
Research engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, and determine and present recommendations to resolve issues.
Support assigned engineering design changes through work order reviews, corrective action program assignments, and field installation support activities.
Develop or revise design specifications or technical requirements documents to support engineering design changes.
Develop or revise engineering calculations impacted by engineering design changes.
Develop safety screens and evaluations that support engineering design changes
Revise site design basis documents, design drawings, and regulatory documents impacted by engineering design changes

Contract duration: 2 years
Pay: $52-$62/hr.
Per diem: $140 per 7 days
Mob/Demob: $500 each way
