Active Q Cleared DOE Classification Analyst

Must have a Baccalaureate degree plus 5 years’ experience or an Advanced degree plus 3 years’ experience.

Must have a background/knowledge in Department of Energy classification principles related to operations at:
• Idaho National Laboratory
• Idaho Cleanup Project
• Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project
• Rocky Flats Plant, Mound Laboratory
• Battelle Columbus Laboratories
• Hanford Site
• Argonne National Laboratory-East
• Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory
• Naval Reactors Facility
Must have and be able to maintain a DOE Q clearance and must have or can obtain a DOE-HQ certification as a Classification Analyst and Derivative Declassifer.

Must have a working knowledge and professional background and experience with the following:
• The Idaho Clean-up Project (ICP)
• The Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP)
• National Transuranic (TRU) and Low-level Radioactive Waste Programs
• DOE classification principles within the nuclear reactor technologies subject area (e.g., nuclear reactor physics and technology, naval reactors, nuclear fuel reprocessing, nuclear and particle theory, reactor physics, basic chemistry and engineering, nondestructive assay technics, isotope separation and production, and arms control and nonproliferation)
• Document classification and handling for waste production activities
• TRU waste certification, waste management, waste exhumation, retrieval, processing, treatment, storage, handling, characterization and shipping
• Working with chemists, chemical engineers, nuclear engineers, non-destructive assay and radiography technicians, and waste disposition specialists
• Waste treatment, processing, characterization, and disposition
• Performing and applying DOE classification principles within the nuclear weapon subject area (e.g., defense nuclear waste and material by-products management, thermonuclear weapons, defense inertial confinement fusion processes or activities, defense research and development, defense nuclear material production)
