Project Manager - SLR Digital Projects
A Project Manager is needed to support the major Digital Instrumentation and Control (I&C) modernization program for the client company’s Surry Power Station. The Digital I&C project is a 10+ year effort as part of Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) to upgrade safety and non-safety-related analog systems to digital and transform the main control room to flat panel displays and controls. This role works with a cross-functional team of Project Management peers, design engineers, station stakeholders, schedulers, suppliers, construction, and other specialty project leads to implement the project.
Responsibilities include:
Leading, managing, and/or supporting specific phases of digital I&C project design and implementation
Working with the lead Project Manager to develop and manage project scope, budget, schedule, and risk
Communicating regularly with the team, station stakeholders, and other departments through the use of presentations, log entries, and monthly reports
Heavy interface with other groups, departments, and outside entities is an expectation of this position. Performance of other duties as requested or assigned are also expected.
Reports to Supervisor of Surry Digital Nuclear Projects for the SLR Projects Group in Virginia.

Experience managing large complex projects involving heavy technical engineering and station interface
Commitment to working on-site at Surry Power Station
Nuclear utility project management experience

Nice to Have Skills:
Experience managing a full-lifecycle digital project
Preferred Years of Experience:
7+ years of nuclear industry experience in the field of construction, engineering, finance, and/or management
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in project management.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted instead of the preferred level of education
Other Education: Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management
Preferred:
PMP certification is preferred but not required
Candidate must have nuclear industry experience
Contract Duration: 1 year; will extend based on performance/project's need
Hours: M-F; 4x10s or 5x8s (flexible)
