POSITION DESCRIPTION
The War Room Manager will provide support to the National Nuclear Security Administrations (NNSA) Savannah River Plutonium Pit Facility (SRPPF) which is a Capital Project being performed at the Savannah River Site near the 706-5F administration building.
This support is necessary to build and manage a War-Room schedule environment to ensure the day-to-day schedule activities are executed as scheduled and to ensure adequate support is provided or obtained to for safe and timely execution.
This role will report to the Deputy Integration Manager daily and will work a four-ten schedule on Monday through Thursday. If overtime is required, the Deputy Integration Manager will need to approve the overtime request in advance.
Typical Duties
• Coordinate schedule meetings between the SRNS Oversight team and the Construction Management (CM) team, as well as representatives from the NNSA daily.
• Develop the necessary schedules and critical path documents to show the senior management team what activities are critical to the success of the project.
• Resolve technical and logistical issues relative to the daily project scope(s).
• Daily documenting project progress on meeting project milestones.
• Provide Readiness Review support as requested.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree and extensive specialized training; or extensive experience applicable to program management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 15 years of experience in program management, financial management, cost estimating, procurement, strategic planning and execution or business management. 10 or more years in an executive role or a highly specialized area applicable to the special or unique needs of the task; recognized as a national leader in applicable subject matter.
Experience in management consultation, strategic planning of major organization assessments, project leadership, and industry outreach.
Ability to work in a diverse environment.
Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening.
Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.

​​​LOCATION
Savannah River Site - Aiken, SC. Position will be primarily performed at SRS and various off-site locations as needed.
The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia. SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules, including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). The work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. The period of performance shall be for a period of one year base period and an additional one-year option. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. Subcontract personnel must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. After award, the selected uncleared candidate may be required to apply for a DOE clearance. Must be a US Citizen.
