What You Will Do
The Software and Applications Engineering (SAE) Division supports Los Alamos National Laboratorys (LANL) enterprise applications and performs software application development support, database development and administration, software quality management, and enterprise application consulting. this role as leading the functional and system requirements gathering efforts from an SAP perspective. This role will lead the effort in producing:
- Scope document
- Requirement document stories
- GAP analysis
- Recommended best practices document (new processes the business would need to adopt)
- Technical specifications document includes configuration and integrations
Background:
Los Alamos National Lab (LANL) seeks to modernize its supply chain tools with an SAP solution. The existing systems are outdated and heavily customized, on-premise systems and we will move to a cloud-based solution. The Senior SAP Techno Functional Consultant will focus on the analysis and design for migration, developing requirements and user stories, gap analysis and overall plan for migration.
Responsibilities:
Gather requirements, develop GAP analysis, outline system integration points and overall system design to ultimately setup a fully functional development, test, and production environment.
Responsible for making solution recommendations considering scope and client requirements.
Prepare the Business blueprint document as per the requirement.
Lead a team to support developing the functional requirements, design and plan for migration.
Partner with other internal and external engineering to develop overall solution. These including data, infrastructure, warehouse and Security teams.
Establish best practices for system implementation.
Job Requirements:
Seasoned Senior SAP Techno Functional Consultant manager with a combined 15+ years experience in software development, system engineering and data management.
Overall 10+ years of SAP experience with minimum of 5+ years in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Transportation Management (TM).
Should have ability to understand business requirements and addressing the day to day issues and articulating product gaps & issues in SAP S/4 HANA (EWM/TM) and technical understanding of business processes, system architecture and integrated systems.
Should have worked on at least 2 full life cycle implementations and 2-3 project support experiences in SAP EWM/TM.
Strong exposure of SAP EWM Outbound, Inbound and Internal processes with VAS, Quality Inspections and EGR, Wave Management, Physical Inventory and Posting Changes
Experience in Master Data i.e. Packaging Specifications, Warehouse Organizational Structure, Settings for Handling Units etc.
Must have sound knowledge and experience in configuring/modifying Post Processing Framework in SAP EWM/TM. Along with a strong experience in understanding the process flows between SAP ERP with SAP EWM and TM
Knowledge in Labor Management, Yard Management and Cross Docking in EWM and Transportation planning and charge calculation.
Possesses good communication skills to coordinate, resolve queries of both external and internal stakeholders and maintaining professional interactions with client SMEs and other team members.
Certification in SAP EWM would be a plus.
