We are seeking qualified candidates to perform the following:
While working to achieve N3B LLCC objectives, subcontractor will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner; will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Ensures adherence to safety standards, operational policies and environmental regulations
• Identifies actual or potential problems and determines necessity for changes or remedial actions
• Approves construction and operations procedures and reviews other procedures for operability
• Reviews and approves integrated work control documents and project preparedness reviews
• Develops and provides assessments of work scope, potential safety problems and special design considerations
• Provides proper communication to employees and other organizations on the implementation of company policies, procedures, and practices
• Assist to identify and attain efficiencies for the organization
• Provides for the administration of employees including: suggesting staffing, providing assignments, assuring training and development, monitoring performance, completes written performance appraisals, provides employees with regular feedback, and recommends appropriate salary actions and career development, and initiating personnel actions
• Provides technical, project, and professional leadership and line management
• Establishes operational objectives and work goals and delegates assignments to subordinate managers
•Implements organizational and operational objectives and work goals and delegates assignments to subordinates
•Implements performance standards for the organization
•Ensures the PMO Plan of the Day (POD) and Shift Order process is completed
•Responds to operational incidents/accidents and the follow up required for these events; conducts Fact Findings and follow up investigations for incidents/events
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors’ in a technical degree (Engineering, Science, or Engineering Technology, etc.) combined with 10 years' experience. Experience should include a minimum of 5 years' of management responsibility and 5 years of practical nuclear D&D, environmental remediation, construction engineering, construction management, and process engineering or facility operations experience. Previous experience related to radiological contamination, deactivation and decommissioning, ecological concerns, and regulatory requirements associated with construction or facility operations projects however, a combination of education and relevant experience wherein the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position’s duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
•Comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and techniques in construction or facility operations techniques, with broad knowledge of environmental regulations.
•Working knowledge of the environmental remediation methods and work practices related to cleanup of radiological and chemical constituents.
•Working knowledge of deactivation and decommissioning of radiologically contaminated facilities and structures
•Knowledge and strong understanding of requirements for performing work at a nuclear facility
•Experience cultivating relationships with multiple customers, understanding their needs, responding quickly to their requests, and providing feedback in a timely manner
•Broad knowledge of trade techniques and practices in construction projects – including but not limited to concrete, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grading, and excavating
•Experience developing and leading large-sized projects, including defining scope, objectives and methods
•Knowledge and experience leading and managing technical teams
•Effective interpersonal skills with ability to work as part of a team and interact positively and amicably with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures and with diverse personal attributes
•Experience cultivating relationships with multiple customers, understanding their needs, responding quickly to their requests, and providing feedback in a timely manner
•Effective communication skills with ability to present ideas effectively in formal and informal situations and convey thoughts clearly and concisely, both verbally and inwriting
•Experience translating requirements into executable policies and procedures
•General knowledge of Human Resources practices
•Experience training and mentoring staff to higher levels of performance
