Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Manager job opportunity in Albuquerque, NM.

Work Location: This position is full time, in person, in Albuquerque, NM, with occasional support in the Santa Fe, NM office. Seeking candidates local to Albuquerque, or willing to relocate to the area.

Job Description:
Opportunity for an Architect or Engineer to be part of a dynamic small business providing full-service architectural and engineering design services in northern New Mexico and Albuquerque. This position resides in Albuquerque, NM, but may also provide support to the Company’s Santa Fe office. Position will be responsible for managing small fast paced projects from inception to completion; including initial scoping requirements and proposal development, designing and drafting, and supporting construction phase services. Must be a US citizen.

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of Executive Management, this position will manage the Albuquerque office architectural-engineering activities and will be responsible for delivering projects to our clients that are on time, within budget, and consistently exceed the clients’ expectations. The primary areas of responsibility are project design, project management, project delivery, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control. Project Management responsibilities include management of budgets, schedules, client relations, and project staff on multiple projects. Provides construction and project support. Provides system integration within and across disciplines.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural, Engineering, or Construction Management.
7+ years of demonstrated experience in architectural-engineering design and construction (AEC) project management.
DOE Federal Government experience preferred
Familiar with DOE and DOD design standards and applicable design codes and standards a plus.
Production oriented and proficient in latest version of Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D; Revit experience a plus.
Must be well versed with IBC and IEBC.
Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Project.
The ability to develop construction packages with specifications, calculations, and drawings is necessary.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate the technical requirements of major segments of a variety of projects; outline the tasks and staff requirements; establish fees, scope and project budgets; and outline a project schedule.
Demonstrated ability to manage a small department and direct their efficient utilization on projects. Ability to work with the entire multi-discipline design team of professionals.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Demonstrates strong collaboration skills in working with multiple discipline teams and clients.
Must be client-oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be detail oriented and organized.
Average agility and dexterity. Duties will include moderate walking over rough, uneven or slippery surfaces, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders or similar activities, recurring lifting of moderately heavy objects less than 50 lbs. and regular visits to construction sites.
Must have excellent judgement, leadership and communication skills.
Requires well-developed organizational and communication skills and the ability to maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with clients and design team.
Ability to understand essential engineering principles and practices.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of stakeholders, managers, clients, contractors, and the general public.

A federal background security investigation and drug screening will be required for all new hires once employed. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Random drug screening while employed
