Title- Structural Engineer (Roads and Bridges)
Type- Contract
Duration- 1 year plus
100 % ONSITE
Location- Ogden, UT

This role will support development of road and bridges maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits for a program project by preparing studies, drawings, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. Full time presence on project is required.
Responsibilities
Assist the Logistics team with the assessment of the roads and bridges required to execute the transportation/deployment plan.
Survey of designated roads and bridges.
Identify impacts/deltas due to additional volume of traffic on designated roads and bridges.
Prepare plans that include additional maintenance, modifications and retrofits of designated roads and bridges.
Perform formal calculations and drawings.
Review existing conditions and as-builts drawings.
Develop technical packages for construction and/or procurement.
Review customer & vendor information from subcontractors and integrate it into the design solution.
Develop design specifications for construction and/or procurement.
Execute to schedule requirement while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team
Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering (Structural or related), from an accredited university, with at least 9 years of relevant experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft office programs, VISIO, and other common computer programs.
US citizenship is required per contract requirement.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively.
Familiar with the provisions of AASHTHO, ASTM, ACI, ASTM, FHWA, MUTCD and WBDG UFC codes. Knowledge of construction materials and construction details and techniques.
Experience in Utility civil engineering.
Experience with DOT and city roads and bridges design and/or maintenance.
Experience executing engineering and design with CAD.
Experience in Utility civil engineering.
Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.
Broad knowledge of the application of Bridge engineering design principles.
Ability to execute work independently.
Full-Time Office/Project to work with customer and project on locations to coordinate designs with team.
Preferred Qualifications
Registered Structural Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States.
Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide.
Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and integration with engineering design deliverables.
Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQA-1, MIL-Q-9858A, or ISO-9000.
Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
Experience with use or knowledge of Civil modeling.
Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact.
