Job Title: Senior Implementation Manager

Location: Richland, WA

Duration: 12 months

Description:

The Senior Implementation Manager (SIM) provides technical and support services (and in some instances direct oversight and governance services) to Enterprise Risk Projects. The SIM ensures the Project Manager can execute project deliverables with quality, safety, on schedule, within budget, and in the most effective manner possible. They are considered an authority in their field, leveraging their expertise to improve project schedules, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. The SIM works directly for the CPM Manager or RMM Manager and collaborates with Project Managers of Enterprise Risk projects. This role is critical in identifying and implementing strategies to save the company critical path hours, reduce outage durations, and prevent risks that could extend outage durations.

Responsibilities:

Technical:

Review key project documentation to identify strategies for improving schedule performance, quality, and resource efficiency.
Validate the quality of all Work Order Tasks (WOT) associated with assigned scope prior to field activities.
Review, comment on, and improve testing and acceptance plans.
Identify activities and processes that would benefit from a mock-up and provide guidance on making these effective.
Communicate personal and industry operating experiences and develop response strategies for each.
Serve as the ASME PIC for Section XI Repair & Replacement Plan work scope when needed.
Governance:

Maintain a broad knowledge base of associated codes, standards, innovative technologies, technical skillsets, and general industry trends.
Provide timely and candid feedback to Project Managers, Oversight Managers, and Department Management on project strategies and implementation plans.
Oversight:

Provide oversight of shop or field activities, ensuring they progress against the approved project strategy and providing coaching as needed.
Serve as the designated person in charge of project activities on shifts opposite the Project Manager, overseeing crews greater than 50 individuals.
Support:

Coordinate resources and collaborate with vendor resources to remove roadblocks.
Attend key strategy meetings with the Project Manager, such as Design Review Boards, Steering Committees, Integrated Implementation Briefings, High Risk Work Plan Challenge Meetings, Project Readiness/Challenge Meetings, Schedule Development Meetings, and Risk Management Meetings.
Qualifications:

Required:

Advanced (graduate) degree in a related field of study or business AND 10 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or business AND 12 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND 14 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
High School Diploma/GED AND 16 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
Desired:

Proven experience in construction management.
Proven experience in multiple refueling outages at a commercial nuclear power plant.
Proven experience with production and operational processes at a commercial nuclear power plant.
Proven experience with feedwater heaters and internals of feedwater heaters.
Proven experience with steam systems and/or work associated with ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel code vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and valves.
Certifications associated with mechanical disciplines, construction, or projects.
