Education & Experience:
A master's degree in business / construction management / technical / engineering or a related area. Bachelor's degree in business / construction management / technical / engineering or a related area and 2 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent. An associate's degree and 6 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent.
A high school diploma and 10 years of relevant experience would also be considered equivalent. Possesses considerable personal computer skills.

-Entry level knowledge and understanding of cost and schedule control at the tactical level is necessary, along with a working knowledge of operations, maintenance, project management, project startup, construction and engineering.
-Identify critical path activities and recommend to management modifications needed to work plans to maintain schedule and to meet or improve milestone dates and other dates of completion or mitigate potential problems or constraints to continued progress.
Nice to Have:

DUTIES
Responsible for assisting or directly organizing, developing, analyzing, and maintaining project controls, financial analysis and estimating applications required to monitor established objectives, and to prepare status and management reports that identify variances in the work execution strategy along with recommending solutions.
Provide management with the required cost and schedule analysis (including recommended corrective actions) to maintain cost and schedule control throughout the life cycle of the project or work activity.
Under limited supervision, performs basic Planning & Scheduling activities. Those activities include, but are not limited to: -Identify critical path activities and recommend to management modifications needed to work plans to maintain schedule and to meet or improve milestone dates and other dates of completion or mitigate potential problems or constraints to continued progress.
Develop comprehensive information that defines general work requirements for a performing organization and unit. Develop broad activity logic and any required interfaces between activities on schedules. - Implement and maintain division maintenance schedules in conjunction with the designated work management system.
Review the planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment and system performance and optimal allocation and utilization of resources.
Integrate schedule/status information into schedule software and develop visually oriented presentation aids to communicate operational/project/maintenance status. - Establish and/or implement standards and techniques for updating and monitoring schedule data needed for effective schedule control.
Identify, analyze and report potential or actual schedule deviations and recommend corrective action solutions for management consideration.
Applies basic knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) , Cost Elements, and General Ledger to work activities.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Area Security Access:
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
