[Design Engineer] US-based Global EPC Org seeks Port Development Engineer for 2 year Saudi Arabia Assignment

Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Direct Hire

US-based Global EPC Organization seeks Port Development Engineer expatriate for two year commitment to major Saudi Arabia-based Infrastructure Projects: P.E. to lead design efforts for port development.


Review and design technical packages for port development, bulk material terminals, quay and berths, marine structures and sea defenses, offshore piling, mooring, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes.

Participate in FEED process.

Design and reviewing coastal and rivers erosion and flooding solutions, including related technical calculations.

Participate in and provide input to the vendor and sub-contractor bidding process.

Prepare detailed requisitions for procurement of equipment and materials.

Review contractor technical submittals, quality control program, start-up plans and schedules.

Coordinate with chief discipline engineers/port/government agencies.

Supervise quantity take-off as required to monitor and control work, monitor contractor inspection program and ensure testing is performed.


BS Civil/Marine/Hydraulic Engineering from fully accredited school

Current Professional Engineer license required.

Demonstrable general civil/marine/coastal technical engineering design experience in port developments, bulk material terminals, quay and berths and coastal and hydraulic engineering works

Demonstrable design experience in marine structures and sea defenses, offshore piling, moorings for shipping, related marine and land based soil investigations, conducting surveys and feasibility studies.

Knowledge of relevant computer software applications used in design of marine facilities, including Finite Element Analysis Package, and Vessel Mooring Analysis preferred.

Excellent written and oral communication skills
