Industrial Journeyman Plumber/Boiler Mechanic

Project or Field Manager
Provides plumbing services throughout the Jobsite to include the installation, repairing and replacement of boiler, gas, water, steam, chilled water, hot water, sewage and other sanitary systems. Candidate shall possess working knowledge of both construction and service processes utilized in fulfillment of their field operations.
Performs assignments under limited supervision by reading and following extreme detail to blueprint drawings.
Directs the work of employees under the direction of the supervisor.
Under the direction of the supervisor, assumes general responsibility for the completion of assignments.
Determines the manpower and material requirements and the means and methods to be used in accomplishing work assignments and recommends changes.
Secures materials, supplies and equipment.
Installs, repairs, replaces, alters, insulates or maintains gas, water, sewage, air and associated fixtures, laboratory equipment, sanitary equipment, all water systems for human usage and all associated fittings within a building including lateral storm drains and salary lines from buildings to mains.
Installs, repairs, replaces, insulates and alters boilers, including apparatus and piping for the generation or conveyance of steam and associated equipment and hot, chilled and condenser water as well as steam piping in air conditioning systems.
Maintains clean work area and/or cleans job site. Trains lower labor grade employees using various training methods.
Observes safety standards and practices. Performs related duties as required or assigned within job classification.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
4+ years commercial installation of boiler field experience and maintaining
plumbing/steam and hot water heating systems
Valid Journeyman or Master Plumbing License
Experience with HDPE, PVC, Copper, DWV, Hydronic Piping
OSHA 10 or willing and able to get an OSHA 10
NCCER Plumbing or Pipefitting or HVAC Preferred
Physically, workers must be able to: See well (either naturally or with correction); Coordinate the movements eyes, hands and fingers; Use hands, arms and fingers fully; Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding in excess of 8 feet; Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, squatting and/or crouching; lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and occasionally more; Sustained overhead work; Frequently moves, assembles, lifts or carries furniture, equipment, tools and materials. Physical presence on the job site is required. Employee must be able to travel internationally, live in dorm style shared housing and work outside in extreme cold temperatures. Must be able and willing to undergo medical & dental exams/testing and pass all physical requirements of the contract.
