PTAG is looking to add to its Project Management and Advisory team, and is currently looking for a Construction Manager to provide construction management oversight of a greenfield chemical plant. Representing the Owner, PTAG is looking for a Construction Manager who can provide an accurate eye, and construction management expertise towards the successful planning, and management of a greenfield $170M dollar chemical Plant. The incumbent will drive, manage and report cost, and schedule performance on the project, while tracking trends, changes and mitigating risks as they arise on the project.

Type of Employment: Contract

Responsibilities:

Ensure a robust HSE Program is installed into the project and that all subcontractors work to a high standard of safety
Coordinates completion of defined work scope for a project between disciplines/locations involved.
Set-up and organize the project construction plan
Ensure procedures and processes are in place to onboard subcontractors
Supports in preparation of project execution strategy and reviews progress
Observers changes in scope/schedule and secures
Review and ensure a construction strategy is aligned with contracting strategy of the project
Prepare and manage a Traffic and Logistics Management Plan
Prepares periodic reports for the client to track cost, schedule, and quality performance
Develops, reviews and approves all construction management documents
Advances proposals, project specification/scopes and negotiates final contracts
Supporting the Lead Project Manager, monitors project costs and quality to ensure the profitability and technical performance of the project
Improves innovative actions to correct variances to scope, budget and/or schedule
Anticipates, recognizes and identifies key project issues/problems and establishes objectives and priorities in solving them and determines solutions and directs their implementation
Cooperates with cross functional teams
Coordinate with city, state and federal project permitting
Highly proficient and effective communicator, both oral and written
Requirements:

10-15+ years as a Construction Manager in the Petrochemical, Chemical Plant and/or Refineries Industry
Owner/Operator Experience
Experience managing complex refinery and or chemical projects
Proven Safety Track Record
Experience managing Petrochemical, Chemical Plant and/or Refinery projects greater than $150M USD
Post Secondary Education desired; years of related experience working on similar projects will also be considered in absence of having a diploma or bachelorís degree
Professional Designations in Construction Management, and/or a PMP Certification would be an asset
Willingness to be office and field based
Excellent communication and leadership skills; must show the capability to manage a diverse workforce and subject matters experts
