Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Contract

Duration- 4-5 months
Description- Commissioning of Combined Cycle project. LOTO work.
Preferably a degreed Engineer with 3 to 5 years of combined cycle commissioning experience.
Needs to have combined or similar commissioning experience.
Commissioning experience with some or all of the following equipment (if not all) gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG’s), natural gas fuel systems, gas compressors a plus.
Previous experience with Toshiba steam turbines and Mitsubishi gas turbines a plus.
Self-motivated


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow direction of the project lead mechanical engineer and the project commissioning manager
Utilizes insight and experience by providing recommendations on strategy, best practices and other load commissioning and operational issues.
Assist in the process of jurisdictional transfer by verifying completeness of system/equipment packages, and identifying Punch List items.
Support of the Pre-Operations, Commissioning, startup and operational phases of project execution.
Employee to provide their own steal toed work boots and clothing appropriate their work environment
Comfortable with working around high voltage equipment
Follow written and verbal instructions
Follow workplace requirements on fall protection, lock out tag out, work permits, and environmental guidelines
Ensure operation of all equipment is within manufacturer limits.
Ability to work up to 7 days a week 12 hours a day
Troubleshoot plant operational issues and coordinate corrective action with required disciplines.
Ability to work in harsh environmental conditions
Ability to read and understand OEM manuals
Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings and basic understanding of electrical drawings
Man lift experience is a plus
Ability to work from heights
Submit daily reports to the lead commissioning engineer
Familiar with lock out tag out programs and isolation of equipment
Preform basic equipment tests for vibration
Complete commissioning test records
Maintain daily shift logs, chemistry logs and equipment preventive maintenance records.
Pass a pre-employment drug test
