Turnaround Planner position in the Shreveport, LA area. MUST be local to the area - NO per diem is offered.
Must have 7+ years planner experience in refineries.
Must have strong Microsoft Projects and Excel experience. P6 knowledge is a huge plus.
The Planner has primary duties that include the planning and estimating of mechanical work for Capital Projects and Turnarounds. The Planner works closely with the scheduler to build accurate work packages and is familiar with creating documents and spreadsheets for data entry and reporting.
Required specialized skills or knowledge:
*Extensive understanding of construction, maintenance, and turnaround
*Must have strong knowledge of P&IDs and Isometric piping
*Must have extensive knowledge with estimating standards and Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools, specifically MS Word and Strong networking, interpersonal, and communication
*Proficiency with SAP, Maximo, Primavera Scheduling P-6 software a plus
*Must have strong skills and knowledge in creating isometric piping drawings
*Extensive knowledge and understanding of piping specifications
*Extensive knowledge and understanding of Job Safety
*Extensive knowledge and understanding of creating head count charts
*Extensive knowledge and understanding of estimating scaffolding, insulation, civil, and some electrical conduit work scope as well
*Physical or other special requirements associated with the job:
*Ability to perform field walks and access work Physically fit and able to lift/push/pull up to 20lbs, climb ladders and stairs, reach, drive a golf cart or ride a bike to and from field locations.
*Perform daily keyboard
*10+ years’ experience
*Engineering/ Construction/ Turnaround background
*Direct field experience in a refinery/ petrochemical/ construction environment
