[Electrical Designer] Distribution Substation Design Engineer

Our client, an energy provider based in Pennsylvania, has an immediate need for a Distribution Substation Design Engineer.
Skills / Experience Required:
BS degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or civil preferred)
Must be able to travel to job sites within the client's service territory as needed
Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing electric utility substations
Must have working knowledge of National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)
Must be proficient in AutoCAD
Ability to handle multiple projects, to prioritize and organize work effectively, and adjust to changing priorities and workload in a timely, thorough manner
Ability to achieve confined space certification and ascend/descend on ladders to enter manholes and vaults
10 years’ experience in substation design
3 years’ experience in project management
Skills / Experience:
1. As the client’s on-site Owner’s Engineer (OE), the contractor, in general, will lead the execution, review, and comment on the work performed by the client’s selected Design Contractor(s) or Internal Designers to ensure it meets the client’s expectations and standards
2. As the client’s on-site Owner’s Engineer (OE), the contractor, in general, will oversee, review and comment on the work performed by the client’s selected Construction Contractor(s) ensuring work meets the design standards set forth
3. The OE will arrange preliminary field walk-downs
Great hourly rate, per diem and mob/demob to and from the site is available.
