System One is looking for a Radiation Safety Officer and Radiography Level III.

Summary of Position:

Responsible to ensure that System One Quality Solutions remains current with and in compliance with all facets of the Radiation Safety Program that has been designed to comply with NRC and State regulations governing the conduct of RT, CART, and DRT. Conduct surveys, inspections, and audits of radiological sources, RT equipment, dosimetry, and associated records to ensure the accurate collection and recoding of dose information and all other safety parameters defined by the applicable license conditions, state and federal regulations.

Serve as the primary Level III of record in the conduct of procedure qualifications and personnel testing and certification for the Quality Solutions Business Unit. Obtain and oversee outside Level III support for NDE disciplines outside of the Corporate Level IIIs personal certification base for these purposes.

Serve as an instructor in the System One Technical Training Center (SOTC) when scheduled and not in conflict with RSO duties.

Advise and instruct Quality Solutions Level II and Level I personnel in the use and implementation of NDE procedures and processes within the Level IIIs technique certifications. Advise Quality Solutions leadership on the procurement and application of NDE technologies and equipment.


Responsibilities/Job Functions:Safety is first; as the company RSO, ensure that all applicable radiation safety procedures are current, completely understood, and followed.

Maintain the required safety records and files needed to demonstrate compliance with state and ferederal  regulations
Demonstrate proficiency in teaching and employing System One NDE procedures in accordance with company and customer specifications.
Provide guidance to Level II and Level I employees in the use and application of NDE techniques and procedures. Personnel must be able to present themselves in a professional manner to the project manager and customers at all levels.
Oversee the performance and completion of inspection and daily reports as required for oversight purposes.
Conduct NDE discipline examinations and evaluate certification extension records as required.
Be aware of and enforce System One policies and procedures.
Maintain Level III certifications and RSO training, within ASNT-Tc-1a, State, Federal System One guidelines.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the NDE techniques and market applications for the services delivered by System One.
Other duties as required.
Required Experience/Education:

At a minimum a high school diploma, GED, or College Certification is required.
Meet level III requirements per System One written certification practices, CP 189, and ASNT TC 1a requirements.
Must have basic computer skills including navigating in windows, word, excel and power point.
Required Certifications:

All safety training in accordance with System One safety Manuel.
A minimum of Four of the following: Level III RT, MT, PT, VT, UT, Mechanical, API 510, 570, 653, NACE, ACI, ICC certifications.Desired Competencies:
Must have valid drivers' license.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America, TWIC card is preferred.
Must pass drug and background check.
Highly motivated with exceptional work ethic ,  positive outlook, dependable,  exceptional safety and quality awareness,  mechanical aptitude , adaptable to changing schedules , attention to detail,  team work , ability to provide and follow directions and procedures ,  willingness to travel.
This profession requires excellent verbal, written communication, computer and math skills.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to lift and carry lightweight to heavyweight objects and use basic power
and hand tools.
Climbing and working off of ladders, stairs, and scaffolding in excess of 25 ft and working in confined spaces can be a routine part of some projects.
Occasional work extended hours.
The job is partially in an office environment and partially in an industrial environment. Incumbent may be required to work within a variety of fabrication, construction and operating plant conditions.
