Senior Controls Engineer-Champaign, IL

System One is currently recruiting for a Senior Controls Engineer for a temp to perm position in Champaign, IL. Join a leading engineering design firm with significant expertise in energy & chemical, food & beverage, pharma & biotech and manufacturing.
Contract for 6 months to direct hire.

Duties:
Provide design documents for MV and LV power feeds, to equipment/control panels, motors, VFDs, etc.
Provide control system/schematics design.
Specify instruments and field devices.
Develop installation bid/construction documents (scopes of work, bills of material, drawings)
Investigate/survey field applications and as-built conditions (working in manufacturing plants)
Develop sequences of operations for programming systems.
Design and develop PLC software using Allen Bradley/Rockwell.
Design and develop HMIs using Wonderware.
Debug and test PLC and HMI software.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline required.
10+ yrs I&C experience experience-designing electrical/control systems and programming PLCs.
Controls experience in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical industries strongly preferred.

Position is contract for 6 months to direct hire. There is no per diem or relocation assistance provided by the client. Local candidates preferred.
