Energize your career at Exelon!PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONThis position will be within the Operations Team and report to an Operations Foreman. This position operates, monitors, trouble shoots and maintains all equipment necessary to generate electricity. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIESOperates, monitors and maintains turbines, generators, pumps, scrubber plants, industrial wastewater treatment plants, boilers, motors, combustion turbines and associated auxiliary equipment.Operates various repair/test equipment.Performs all work during an assigned shift in a safe, continuous and efficient manner while maintaining environmental and housekeeping standards within federal, state and local guidelines. Performs work per Work Management processes and ensures safety using equipment Tag out process.Adheres to the conduct of operations and established operations standards and practices.Available for rotating shift work.Perform work on lube schedule.Perform any other duties as assigned in accordance with Article 5.12 of the CBAPOSITION SPECIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 18 months of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or related field; ORAssociates Degree in Power Plant Technology or related field; OR equivalent experience.Available for overtime as required in accordance with Article 5.8 of the CBA.Good oral and written communication skills.Basic computer skills.Ability to learn to interpret and understand power plant prints.Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.Ability to successfully complete the training requirements for the position including passing the POSS test and any other qualification tests. Ability to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing and walking long distances.Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
