This is a 2 phase project. Phase 1 can be done work from home for 5 months. If phase 2 gets approved you must work onsite in FL.
Must have a background working on material handling projects. Mining industry experience not required but a huge plus.
Assist Owner Project Manager in the receipt, logging, routing, tracking, expediting, and status reporting of engineering deliverables in PDF format from multiple Engineering firms requiring review and comment from many stakeholder groups within the Owner Organization. Stakeholder groups typically involve operations, maintenance, safety, environmental, Process Engineering, reliability, procurement, centralized maintenance & reliability, subject matter experts (SME), legal, loss control, security, legal, and finance/accounting.
Distribute engineering deliverables and ensure all required stakeholder groups provide timely comments in order to maintain project schedule; gather comments from all stakeholder groups and consolidate not one list or one marked up set of documents; review comments with Owner Project Manager prior to returning comments to engineering firms. Project schedule requires most review cycles to be completed in three (3) business days.
Prepare and maintain engineering deliverables review log; update and distribute weekly.
Ensure the FEL3 Basis of Design has been reviewed and approved by all Owner Stakeholder Groups.
Assist with developing the scope of work of the next phase of the project, which could be equipment design-supply or design-build type.
Set up and host WebEx, MS Teams, or Skype meetings with stakeholder groups as necessary to ensure Owner organization reviews and provides comments by the required due date to avoid delays to the project schedule; record attendees, take notes, and distribute meeting minutes to all attendees within 24 hours of meeting.
Attend weekly coordination meetings and provide status of all engineering deliverables in review.
Coordinate weekly project schedule updates with Engineering firm; Review Engineering firms project schedule, provide comments, send status updates on engineering deliverables review cycle.
Coordinate with Engineering firms as necessary to be well informed of critical engineering deliverables and notifying all stakeholder groups of upcoming critical reviews.
Attend weekly coordination meetings and design review meetings, take notes, and distribute action items to all stakeholder groups; follow-up with individuals in each stakeholder group to ensure timely resolution of action items.
Review Engineering firms’ invoices to verify hours worked and billing rates, provide comments to Owner Project Manager.
Other Project Engineering duties as assigned.
15+ years of specific Project Engineering Experience, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
15+ years in material handling projects, with at least 5 years in belt conveyor projects.
Experience developing scope of work, contracting strategies is preferred
WebEx/MS Teams/Skype experience is a must
Strong document control experience
Familiar with handling electronic documents through an Owner’s engineering deliverable review workflow process involving many different stakeholders
Familiar with MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
