[Fire Protection Engineer] Wildland Fire Prevention Specialist

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is looking for a Wildland Fire Prevention Specialist to perform a variety of duties in support of wildfire risk mitigation and a Wildland Fire Prevention Lead to supervise and coordinate with our client’s Wildland Fire Prevention personnel (WFPS).

Core Responsibilities


Field oversight of transmission and distribution electric construction activities and construction yards to ensure conformance with client requirements (Electric Standard Practice (ESP) 113.1),
Project specific Construction Fire Plans or jurisdictional agency requirements.
Proactive planning and communication with jurisdictional fire departments and agencies about planned company activities.
Ensure all fire prevention field personnel (i.e., Dedicated Fire Patrols) are properly equipped and proactively working to prevent or minimize fire and safety risks at Company work sites.
Involved with development of project construction fire prevention & safety plans.
Regularly attend and participate in and document all daily safety tailboard meetings and lead wildland fire & safety topics.
Conduct field observations of work activities.
Wildfire prevention and safety awareness training of field employees
Document and report out weekly to program management on field performance observations.

Lead - schedules assignments and provides responsibilities to the WFPS to ensure effectiveness.
Lead - acts as lead interface with client program management and internal and external stakeholders for the Wildland Fire Prevention team.
Lead - provides regular updates to the Company Electric System Hardening Program Manager(s) on field observations and compliance with company and applicable wildfire prevention policies and other requirements.
Lead - Involved in development of project construction plans and other planning initiatives as required.

Must have certification from a medical assistant program or military medical corpsman program.
One to two years of experience in a medical setting.
Have a high school diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, reference tools, and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical assistant practice scope.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems.
