This is a Direct Hire Position in Sinclair, WY.
This position pays a very strong base salary with a large % bonus and relocation.
Please look in to this area - it is very remote.
Accountable for supporting refinery production and improving reliability through the timely execution of run and maintain projects by the Facilities Engineering group. Work with Operations Area Managers and Maintenance Superintendents to ensure that run and maintain engineering requests are received, prioritized and assigned appropriately. Oversee engineering requests from Operations and Maintenance to ensure that they are in line with the objectives of the Facilities Engineering group. Maintain accurate records of the current Facilities Engineering group workload and status and provide regular reports. Assign resources to Operations or Turnaround execution as necessary to complete engineering requests. Contribute to the direction of the Engineering Department through the development of policies, procedures, workflows and templates.
Primary Functions Responsibilities:
Leads a team of cross functional engineers responsible for day to day plant operation and reliability activities.
Collaborates with other departments to ensure technical support is effective and efficient.
Understands and employs scientific and engineering theory and makes recommendation to support upper leadership goals.
Oversee work of engineers to ensure good work habits and assigns specific task on a basis of priority per the business plan.
Provides coaching and mentoring to direct staff to enrich their professional development.
Creates collaborative workflow between multiple departments improving communication.
Works within budgetary/ financial objectives set by the Engineering Manager.
Develops and maintains the facilities engineering tracker with input from the facilities engineers.
Tracks and provides daily updates on the status of any “fire board” projects assigned to facilities engineers.
Tracks and monitors group resource loads and ensures appropriate resource allocation.
Maintains and reports relevant KPIs and metrics on a regular interval.
Ensures that facilities engineers follow approved work processes.
Ensures that all issued deliverables meet minimum acceptable quality standards.
Trains or ensures that facilities engineers are properly trained for their roles.
Identifies and resolves workplace issues including tardiness and absenteeism.
Provides real-time job performance feedback.
Assists in hiring and firing activities.
Follow-through on commitments made to others.
Create and maintain a neat, clean and well-organized and professional-looking work area.
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Bachelors of Science Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering. Prefer an Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Manufacturing. A minimum of 10-15 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably in oil and gas production, refineries, petrochemicals, or related industry. Professional Engineering license is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of ASME and API piping and pressure vessel codes and standards. Knowledge of the fundamentals of project management front-end engineering and project planning and scheduling desired. Excellent organization skills and the ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) is required.
