Job Summary:†

PIC Group is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Project Engineer to support a 100 MW combined cycle CHP university expansion project located in Columbus, OH.† The Instrumentation & Controls Project Engineer (I&C) Engineer reports to the Asset Manager Director and will be responsible for reviewing EPC contractorís engineering deliverables and determining the acceptability of engineering works related to quality, functionality, and contract adherence.† The I&C Engineer will be required to assist with the mechanical review of Contractor submitted vendor drawings to ensure contract adherence and engineering requirements are maintained for project related equipment.††††

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive support for all engineering processes.
Provide support in claim management and documentation, including variation management and reporting, and contract entitlements as related to the evaluated engineering work products by the EPC Contractor.
Review engineering related deliverables prepared by the Team before passing to EPC Contractor.
Effectively apply methodology and enforce project standards.
Highlight and evaluate risks on the project as related to discipline engineering activities and deliverables (or absence of same)
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Attend regular status meetings with project team.
Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors.
Review and approve project related general design/engineering matters submitted by the EPC Contractor.
Monitor and verify EPC Contractorís engineering work progress for the purpose of progress payments.
Provide correspondence input for instructions to ensure strict adherence to general and project requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
High level of computer literacy
Strong acumen of process electrical design including equipment design and specifications.
Professional Engineering Registration (Ohio registration NOT required)
Knowledgeable of engineering scheduling and execution processes
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Engineering/Construction exposure in multiple disciplines
Effective interpersonal and collaborative skills in a matrix and multi-cultural environment.

Physical Requirements

Exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions
Expected to walk job site daily

Education / Experience:

Bachelorís degree in Electrical, Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering or a Control and Instrumentation Technology program graduate.
Minimum 10 years of specific I&C discipline project design engineering experience in Gas Turbine power generating stations.
Minimum of 3 years of project engineering experience for large capital projects.
