Immediate 6-12 month position available in Meridian, MS
Local candidate needed

Work Schedule:
Part time, Minimum of 20 hours per week.
Maximum of 30 hours per week.
Must provide availability Monday through Saturday.
Schedule will be provided by construction manager with 1 week in advance notice.
Work hours ranging from 20-30 each week could spread over 5 days or over 2 days.

Education:
Minimum of 5 – 10 years of related experience in safety and health. OR
At least 3 – 5 years of related experience in safety and health and bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or related field
Certifications in Occupational Safety and Health
Credentials from Board of Certified Safety Professionals is preferred.

Required Qualifications:
Demolition experience (preferably with asbestos/lead abatement background) is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of safety and health regulations, national safety & health standards, industry safety best practices, workers compensation, safety management practices and principles
Background in process driven industries, to include but not limited to, electric and gas utilities, heavy construction, chemical process facilities, etc. Electric utility experience is preferred.
Knowledge and experience implementing behavior-based safety processes
Proficient in MS Office products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Monitor compliance for both regulatory and established Company policies and procedures
Provide safety & health guidance, direction, and coaching
Assist with the monitoring, evaluation, analysis, tracking and publication of safety performance reports
Other safety and health responsibilities as required
