[Crane Operator] Friction Crane Operator - Shipyard Experience Required

ATSS has a client in Mobile, AL looking for a Friction Crane Operator.

Must have Portal or Gantry experience.
Must have at least 5 years of experience operating in a shipyard.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily demonstrate the following:

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10ís and 100ís. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance, and 100 pounds with assistance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
Employee must be able to hear audio warning signals.
Employee must be able to swing on a swing rope to board offshore structures/vessels.
The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
Employee must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, and safety glasses.
Position requires working long strenuous hours.
Must be able of working rotating day and night shifts with a minimum of 12-hour duration, and shift schedules of 28 and 14 days.
Pass the required physical examination, WorkSTEPS work capacity evaluation, and drug and alcohol test.
