[Sales Manager] Hiring - Director of Field Service

Role Overview:

Overseeing our Marine repair, maintenance and overhaul initiatives, the Director of Field Service will build client relationships through deep industry experience, technical aptitude, and knowledge of our existing client base. From military to commercial applications, the work you do will ensure operational capabilities for organizations around the world.

Success Criteria:
Overseeing our marine repair, maintenance and overhaul initiatives, the Director of Field Service will set the vision and build customer relationships through industry experience, technical aptitude, and knowledge of our existing client base. In support of our Nation and its allies, the work you do will ensure operational capabilities for customers around the world.

• Bring hands-on business development experience connecting with our existing customers for service solutions while building new customer relationships
• Gain cutting edge career experience with service repairs to our built-to-order solutions, your exposure to marine assembly and test equipment will help you understand your team’s ability to repair, overhaul, and re-install our custom products
• Gain visibility as you partner with leaders to evaluate, scope, prioritize, complete, and communicate service project milestones to the organization
• Expand your marine experience by exploring ways our teams can streamline our approach and methodology to our aftermarket processes
• Tap into your leadership skills as you directly oversee field service teams and indirectly connect and influence engineers and sales partners to overcome customer challenges


Qualifications:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• 5+ years demonstrated leadership in Navy service and maintenance environments
• Familiarity with the Navy, Navy operations, and its 6 maintenance regions
• Recommended experience commensurate with Navy Division Officer or Department Head

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Working knowledge of Work Specification Packages and NAVSEA Standard Items
• Ability to generate new business by fostering and developing customer relationships
• Must be able to obtain security access to military installations, ships, commercial shipyards and waterfront controlled industrial areas.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential
• Comprehensive technology savvy skills, must have demonstrated knowledge of modern technology and utilization of it in an Aftermarket strategy
• Must have clear track record of strategic planning/execution and people/business development
• Excellent project management/organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with other inside and outside the organization
• Seasoned leadership skills, ability to motivate others, resolve conflict, encourage teamwork and manage employee performance
• Must possess a high degree of professionalism, adaptability and strong customer service skills including a high level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality
• Working knowledge FAR/DFARs and government contracting
• Excellent verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
• Must be able to travel up to 50%
