In the role of GIS Analyst you will represent electric distribution system assets in the GIS system with information from sources including, but not limited to, work management systems, as-built construction drawings, work orders, completion records, field reports or other information from the job sponsor. In addition you will perform analysis or queries to assemble data and prepare reports. Also produce standard prints and ad-hoc plots for field requests containing specific information derived from the connected model and various other data sources. Perform GIS work pertaining to major projects such as facility relocations, load rearrangement and new business.
**PLEASE NOTE** Only local candidates currently located within New York State will be considered.
The qualified candidate for GIS Analyst MUST HAVE:
*One (1)+ years’ experience working as a GIS Analyst, Maps and Records Technician, Electronic Data Analyst, or similar role.
*Experience utilizing Smallworld GIS Software or ESRI GIS Mapping Software desired.
*Electric Utility Configuration Experience or Utility Asset Information experience desired.
*Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
*Good general computer and analytical skills.
