CAROLINAS WEST TRANSMISSION SITING, PERMITTING & ENGAGEMENT TEAM TRANSMISSION SR. SITING SPECIALIST POSITION:
Responsible for ensuring the implementation of consistent practices in siting transmission substation and line facilities.
Responsible for providing functional direction in developing and maintaining procedures and programs to assist facilities in complying with internal guidelines and external regulations.
Provides expert direction to execute successful siting projects.
Maintain project schedules and accountability for meeting specified schedules for siting tasks.
Track project schedules and task in Primavera.
Develop processes and maintain appropriate siting project reports.
Bachelors degree in engineering, sciences or other related field of study
Minimum of 10 years of experience
Professional certification / license (i.e. PMP, APA, Professional Engineer, Professional Landscape Architect .)
Excellent negotiating skills with regulators and the public
Ten years of experience siting or supporting land development projects within multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
Experience working for an regulated electric utility
Demonstrate ability to successfully influence outcome with a high level of collaboration
Experience supporting and managing land-development projects and/or linear projects.
This position is typically retained to manage multiple Green I or Green II projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.
Minimum of 9 years of project management experience.
Graduation from a four-year college or university. Proficient in project management principles.
Masters - business (MBA), project management, or equivalent.
Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMP or CAPM Certification; CMII/Construction Certifications; Professional Engineer License.
Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls.
Experience in utility industry.
Knowledge in construction management.
The Project Manager II may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to executive management).
