Senior Relay Specialist for 15 months located in AZ

The facility is a 2200 MW Super-critical coal x 3 units. Plant is scheduled to be shut down 12.2019

Performs highly skilled work on construction and installation, trouble shooting and testing,
maintenance, repair of electro-mechanical and solid state protective relays, oscillographs,
recording, indicating and telemeter instruments, voltage regulators, generator excitation systems, transmission, switchyards, and distribution substations, maintains and repairs all SSR equipment

Engage in switchyard/generating plant/substation construction, including panel
fabrication/installation/wiring of all new equipment/control systems.
Install, calibrate, maintain, test and repair all electro-mechanical and solid state protective relays.
Recommend corrections or redesign subject to approval to provide proper functioning using
instructions, sketches and blueprints of circuits.
Install, test, and maintain oscillographs and enunciators in generating plants, transmission
switchyards and distribution substations. Install and maintain all indicating telemeter, recording metering and control equipment of
generating plant ad substation switchyards.
Install, test and maintain power line carrier, including transfer trip and pilot wire used for
protective relaying at all voltage levels.
Test, maintain and calibrate all transformer equipment including temperature devices both electro-mechanical and solid state.
Summarize and evaluate test results and maintain records of relaying and associated
equipment including equipment trouble reports and status data.
Install, test and maintain all voltage regulators, excitation system sub synchronous resonance
and tensional vibration monitoring equipment. Performs repair/maintenance of plant/railroad equipment, operating up to 500,000 volts. The
work may require the climbing of poles and structures.
Researches and assists plant operators on proper operation of SSR equipment.
Performs related work as required.
Completion of an appropriate Apprenticeship program or equivalent


Completion of an appropriate Apprenticeship program or equivalent
fully competent in all
aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Local Living/Per Diem=Upon arrival, Hotel + $50.00 / day for meals for the 1st 60 days or once a long term living arrangements have been secured. Per Diem will go in effect at $200.00 / day.
