Pro-Tech Resourcing is looking for Substation Wireman local to the Florida area for a long term opportunity.
~ Must be local to Florida
~ Previous experience with Duke systems preferred
~ Pay Based on experience (26 - 39 /hr)

Substation Journeyman Wireman is responsible for performing programming, installation, and maintenance of medium and high voltage equipment as well as controls and protective devices.
Installing and modifying control wiring associated with high and low voltage equipment (12kV through 500kV) using knowledge of electrical equipment and circuits (e.g. control circuits, control equipment, power circuit breakers, transformers, CTs, PTs, batteries, battery chargers, relay equipment, and supervisory or carrier current relay equipment).
Testing and troubleshooting electrical equipment and circuit continuity using instruments and other testing equipment (e.g. meters, testers, meggers, ammeters).
Splicing wire/cables and measuring, cutting, bending, pulling, and installing electrical cable and conduit.
Determine that proper working clearances and required grounding have been established and tagged when necessary.
Understand the layout and characteristics of electrical transmission and distribution systems equipment and control apparatus as related to substations.
Read and understand prints, schematics, maps, drawing/diagrams.
Proficient in AC/DC electrical theory as related control panels and de-energizing control panels.
Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
Ability to work safely and identify site concerns.
Ability to lead and train a lower level wireman in activities associated with the job.
