Looking for an experienced California-licensed Professional Engineer to be the Senior Project Engineer for utility projects, many focusing on electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Your role is to lead and project manage technical deliverables and construction pre-requisites, including final engineering plan sets, easements, long lead time equipment, and building permits. You will work with a team of civil and electrical designers and engineers, and also contribute to project design and constructability reviews. Job Description: As the Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering projects for clients, focusing on the electric utility sector. To excel in the position you must be capable of managing multiple projects at once, in various planning phases, and be able to prioritize tasks for yourself and others to obtain measurable results.
To be a highly credible Project Engineer you will be required to have experience in civil site design and managing projects through all aspects of pre-construction.
Meeting and collaborating directly with clients
Prioritizing and driving the completion of project related tasks to meet deadlines
Internal process development for engineering production and project delivery
Executing project prerequisite activities, such as land survey coordination, construction contractor bidding, and long lead equipment ordering
Assigning project designer and engineer responsibilities, and actively managing to maximize team utilization
Completing design reviews and contributing to project constructability reviews
Managing contributing engineering subcontractors
Reporting project statuses to the C2 Group executive team
Maintain industry knowledge and network
BS Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline, and 5 or more years of experience in civil site design and utility design experience.
Licensed PE, state of California
Experience in using and training others in AutoCAD
In depth knowledge of the California Building Code
Excellent cross-team collaboration experience, working with environmental professionals, land surveyors and electrical designers
Hands on experience developing drawings and specifications for civil development projects
Ability to analyze existing site conditions, and provide design solutions
Solid knowledge of construction methods and practices of civil development and utility construction
Excellent at learning new engineering concepts and design requirements and applying in a fast paced environment
