Senior Commissioning Engineer needed for a direct opportunity with ExecuPOWER in the Mid-Atlantic.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:

Senior Level Commissioning Engineer to deliver in-service electrical systems and equipment spanning from low voltage to extra-high voltage.
Perform as primary contact for all commissioning and testing activities throughout a project up to and including energization and close-out, which includes providing guidance or direction. This can include managing small (<4 people) technical teams while coordinating with engineering, construction, operations, and other entities as required.
The ability to interpret detailed designs and develop then execute project specific plans to ensure all electrical systems are completely tested and functional when placed into service is required. Designs include, but are not limited to, customer and manufacturer specifications, AC and DC Schematics, Single and Three-Line Diagrams, and protection schemes with related equipment. Ensure test results are approved and commissioning process is followed and completed prior to energization.

What You'll Be Doing:

Using knowledge of detailed design and experience of commissioning process to:
Review and provide input to project schedule and budget.
Minimize impact of high-risk commissioning activities by identifying them in advance, then work with project management and clients to determine the best mitigation strategy.
Develop testing and commissioning plans that align with project schedule and goals.
Develop energization plans that align with operational requirements of our clients.
Identify misalignment with specifications, AC and DC schematics, wiring diagrams, protection settings and schemes and obtain suitable engineering and/or client resolutions.
Evaluate or attest that electrical equipment and systems are suitable for operation
Perform, Review and/or Approve Test Results
Provide recommendations on technical issues related to electrical power systems
Troubleshoot any problems that arise related to the work being performed
Creating detailed reports for all types of electrical systems and equipment based off interpretation of the test results, onsite inspections and design intent
Participate in project meetings providing input and insight on design, planning, status, and lessons learned
Document and report on current activities, test results, risks, or problems with associated recommendations

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Power Discipling Preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience of Electrical System Commissioning and Testing
A professional engineer certification is not required for this position but on the path to licensure is desirable.
