Remote - major close-outs, training and corporate activities to be done on-site at Libertyville, IL office

Our client is seeking a Substation/Transmission/Distribution Estimator to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role will work collaboratively with the estimating team to coordinate plan procurement, bid preparation and bid review with our estimating administrators.

Duties:

• Reviewing project documents including contract, plans, specifications

• Attend pre-bid meetings as required, some travel may be required • Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare complete cost estimates

• Prepare and manger material and subcontractor pricing requests • Interface with field leadership to prepare preliminary project execution plans

• Prepare high level project schedules • Assist with proposal preparation • Support project management on award contracts

Qualifications:

• Experience with and understanding of electrical distribution, transmission, and substations

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, other related major, or equivalent construction/Union trade background

• Experience in estimating

• Located preferably in the metro Chicago/Midwest area. Candidates located outside of this area will be considered understanding that close-out for major pursuits, training, corporate activities will be done in person in our Libertyville, IL office

• Experience with estimating and scheduling software desired

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required

• Strong work ethic

• Excellent communication

• Ability to work cross functionally with all leaders and divisions throughout the company
